It’s been a great start to the summer season in Las Vegas for mixed-game players from the Pacific Northwest<\/strong>, not the least of which was\u00a0Jeremy Harkin<\/strong>\u2019s take-down early this morning of the bracelet for\u00a0World Series of Poker Event #12: $1,500 Dealer\u2019s Choice 6-Handed<\/strong><\/a>, closing it out against two-time bracelet winner\u00a0Frankie O\u2019Dell<\/strong>, with an active rail of Portland-area players supporting him (including\u00a0Liz Brandenburg<\/strong>, who live-streamed the end on Facebook<\/a>). For the uninitiated, the Dealer\u2019s Choice tournament has 20 possible games to select. I owe Jeremy a lot of thanks for offering me cheap digs in Vegas two summers ago<\/a>, when I really needed a break so that I could take the WSOP reporting job.<\/p>\n New players on the leaderboard this edition include\u00a0Chad Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>of Seattle whose first recorded\u00a0Hendon Mob\u00a0<\/strong>cash is a 2nd-place finish in the $1,600 buyin\u00a0Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza III $250K GTD PLO MonsterStack<\/strong><\/a>. That’s a pretty nice way to start off the record.<\/p>\n Tukwila’s\u00a0Tamir Hasan<\/strong> took 1st at the\u00a0Grand Poker Series #12 Mixed PLO8\/O8\/Big O<\/a> <\/strong>for what is only his second recorded cash; he min-cashed in an O8 tournament at the WSOP in 2016.<\/p>\n WSOP #9 $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was a hunting ground for established PNW players.\u00a0There were\u00a04 PNW players in the top 15<\/strong> of the 169-entry \u00a0tournament.\u00a0Dylan Linde<\/strong> (Couer D\u2019Alene) and\u00a0Talon White<\/strong> (Sheridan) took 15th and 14th, respectively (it’s Linde’s 44th WSOP cash and White’s first).\u00a0Steve Chanthabouasy<\/strong> took 12th (his 14th WSOP cash).\u00a0Adam Coats\u00a0<\/strong>made it all the way to 3rd (WSOP cash number 11), doubling his lifetime recorded earnings.<\/p>\n In non-mixed game news, it wouldn’t be a leaderboard report without a six-figure cash from\u00a0Almedin Imsirovic<\/strong>, taking 2nd in the $26K buyin\u00a0Aria High Roller 82<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0Matt Affleck<\/strong> grabbed first place in the\u00a0Venetian DSE3 #28 $500K GTD<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Back on the wild side,\u00a0Jesse Hampton<\/strong> of Mercer Island came in 3rd in\u00a0WSOP #8 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Here’s Worm’s group victory shot<\/strong>.
